Things to Do
It’s easy to enjoy the outdoors and connect with your community in Prairie Village. Meadowbrook Park is a sprawling living complex with restaurants, high-end housing, and green spaces for residents – this is a great place to look if you’re new to the area! Taliaferro Park has a large playground, a sandbox, 2 lighted tennis courts, a free-throw basketball goal and shared baseball, walking trails, and a grass soccer field. Franklin Park has some great picnic areas and walking trails for families who want to host BBQs or gatherings here!
The town is home to Jazz Fest, an annual event that attracts thousands of attendees for local, regional, and world-famous jazz acts. You can also attend the local craft fairs and the beloved annual Village Fest on July 4th with games, bounce houses, and food booths.
